The belief that organs hold emotion originated in East Asia millennia ago. Healthcare systems like Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, which predate written language, have treated the body with measured success by using the principles of mind-body connection and getting to the emotional root cause of illness.

Human Garage incorporates this ancient knowledge into the fascial maneuvers. Our take is that because emotions are experienced somatically, they are at least partially 3-dimensional and can changed by working on the physical body.

That’s where the organs come in: they are fascially complex structures that have the capacity to hold immense energy (aka emotion).

The hormones our organs regulate completely dictate our health and wellbeing. For example, the emotion of anxiety is physically measured as a spike in cortisol, which is released by the adrenal glands.

If your adrenals are unhealthy, they can’t balance cortisol production. This causes pervasive anxiety. It’s also possible that your adrenal glands are healthy but you are continuously triggered by your environment, which leads to the over-production of cortisol, adrenal fatigue, and eventual shutdown.

The same concept applies to the other glands and organs. The bladder is related to fear, the large intestine holds grief, the liver carries anger, and so on.

Each feeling is one end of a polarity. Fear and courage are on the same spectrum at opposite ends. Love and hate are the same feeling, amplified by perception and the context of our environment.

The emotional and physical bodies are intertwined. When you heal emotionally, you heal physically.

That’s why Human Garage created the Organ Reset. We can reprogram the emotion held by a specific organ through intention, touch, and affirmation. Focusing on the organ that corresponds to a physical or psychological issue allows us to fully recover from it.
